Catherine is a Senior Research Fellow with the International HIV Research Group at UNSW. She has been involved in health and social research (particularly in relation to drug and alcohol issues and HIV) for over 20 years. For the last two years Catherine has been involved in research capacity building in Indonesia and the Pacific region and has conducted a study with women who inject drugs in central Java with trainee researchers at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta. Catherine will present an overview of research capacity building and describe her experiences in Indonesia and the Pacific.
