Date collected by employees and students of Menzies remains the property of Menzies and Menzies has a responsibility to ensure that the storage of all data collected is safe and to ensure the security and integrity of all data.  Menzies needs to ensure that sufficient materials and data are retained to justify the outcomes of the research and to defend them if they are challenged.  The potential value of the material for further research should also be considered.

This short information session will be provided for Menzies staff to review the different types of data and the responsibilities of Researchers under the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, information privacy principles and privacy legislation.
